Youth Program Co-Creation

 

There weren't many organizations around Central Ohio that co-created their leadership programs WITH youth which creates a way to allow youth to make a substantial difference in their communities.  So LeaderSpark created a movement to change the way youth experience leadership development.

 

LeaderSpark is committed to uniting teenagers from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences to use their unique talents to make their positive mark on the world.

We strive to support young people with:

 

• Volunteering opportunities according to their interests

• Leadership training & resources

• Connections with mentors in their desired field

• Recommendation letters for college

• Community service hours

• Proof that your age is not a barrier to make a mark in the world

 

In addition to working with more than one thousand young people in group settings through LeaderSpark trainings each year, we also unite our participants/fellows through local & international campaigns. Our youth use their leadership skills and talents to implement ways to raise awareness and make an impact for a specific cause they're passionate about in their communities or with others across the globe. Our youth have raised thousands of dollars’ worth of items for people in need and raised awareness of:

• Bullying (SpeakUP! Campaign)

• Youth Homelessness

• Foster care youth (w/Together We Rise)

• Advocating for equality
