On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, LeaderSpark, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage the season of giving. Anyone, anywhere can get involved in #GivingTuesday and give back in a way that is meaningful to them. From fundraising to volunteering to pro bono service, #GivingTuesday is a great way to engage our community and to become a part of a larger worldwide movement that promotes generosity.

#GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving. Join LeaderSpark on December 1, 2015, and help giving go viral as we strive to collect $3,000 for our holiday appeal. This year our appeal focuses on our continuation of programming in Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center and our Roots to Wings program at Franklinton Prep Academy; where we will create urban vegetable gardens, which will help these students, many currently living in a food dessert & vulnerable to malnutrition to get the nutritious diets they need to grow healthy.

 

Many Franklinton Prep students only get one meal a day, their school lunch, or they shop in convenient stores; as there is no large supermarket in their area. Either option is bland, and doesn't include the vegetables and nutrients that growing children need.
